New Life, New year, Taking lessons from Avatar : The Last Airbender.

A new year comes to me soon, believe you me.  I have a really strong feeling that this year will be full of change . I feel the universe changing colours around me .

And as scary that this might apparently look like, I have a new sense of hope, I feel the summer end to a new fall, but a fall like no other, a fall of colours, that now seem beautiful, red, orange, brown, and windy, a stormy fall which ‘ll bring more maturity, sense , and tranquillity .

I feel like Zuko of the Fire nation, letting go of pride, and a dream that ‘ll never be true, for destiny has another path. I feel lighter and more determined than I have ever felt in my entire existence. I have a newer path, now i know what my destiny shall be.
Just like Prince Zuko realised his destiny was to bring peace between an entire nation and the rest of Avatar universe.

I ‘ve realised now, that i am not somebody who has happy relationships , be it Love , a Lover , A best friend, or even Family.

I accept what my destiny is, and now i shall shape it . Just as i would like it to be. Some destinies are to be shaped ,while others are set in stone  .

Just like Katara was able to become a water-bending master in such a short time, with fierce determination and hard work.

I believe that with fierce determination and hard work i can be successful in anything i put my mind to

I think everyone can learn from Aang and the gang.

Tof never gave up on earth bending even though she was blind.  She became the first metal-bender, teaching Aang how to use vibrations in the earth to bend better than any other. She had two wonderful daughters . Both Metal-benders . She was able to help “Twinkle-toes” over two of his lifetimes.

Katara did not take no for an answer from a teacher who insisted that girls do not learn water – bending and would not teach her  , even becoming a master herself, eventually becoming the Avatar ‘s teacher . She made friends with many people  , she also become a mother to three wonderful benders, : Tenzin, Kaya and Bumie. Even helping Aang in his next lifetime as best as she could. She was able to blood-bend too.

Sokka never let the fact that he was a non-bender make him any less a warrior, he learnt swordsmanship from a man who was adamant not to take any new students ,he also strived to make humour his ally in many situations, Sokka was a great tracker and mystery solver, he solved many such cases in the length of the show. He is a great brother, friend and Warrior.

Prince Zuko ,an individual i connect with so well, he was not a perfect child, not a perfect friend, he struggled his whole childhood and adolescence to fit in, he was able to give up his presumed destiny of capturing Aang, and choosing to become a better person and not let life tell him what to do. He was able to learn the dance of the dragons, dance with the masters, get one as his guide, and teach Aang Fire-bending, and realise that fire is not just destruction but also life. Zuko not only created a whole new life for himself, he had the courage to stand up to a society that was doing wrong. Zuko become a different person and created history, by becoming a new fire-lord who led the fire-nation to peace and diplomatic relations with the other nations. And become the best friend of Aang. He stayed best friends with the Avatar over two lifetimes.

Avatar Aang become the  youngest Avatar to master all four elements, he set a standard for all future Avatars. He was kind, and valued life, yet living like a humble monk ,with great bending-abilities.  He was able to learn how to take bending away from horrible people.

The two faces of Her.

image

Deep within her soul, she yearns for another

Yet in front of the universe, she puts on a show

She lives for herself in her dreams, yet hides her colours under cloaks of ashen grey

She looks calm and peaceful, yet underneath she ‘s a stormy sea

She weaves a web, a web of disguise.

Two lives she lives, two people she is.

One who ‘s her and another she hides behind.

True her ,is a person yearning for half of herself, the half she ‘s never met ,seen or heard of.

The untrue her is a lie, a confident, bubbly , talkative, strong shield, who does not need her other half.

The true her wants roots, to keep her steady, to be the earth, stubborn and thriving in all weather.

The untrue her wishes for friends and audience, to put on a show, a show of strength, of traits the true her boasts not but possesses.

The Disguise she wears is of a happy-go-lucky.

But once its off she yearns for a successful life, a dream she holds, she desires her other half, but wishes to be a successful ,strong, independent human being.

She is an individual with latent qualities, but the Show is always a success.

An Angel is born …. : -)

It was an early morning in August, a child was being born ……

A young baby girl, with inquisitive eyes, and intelligent glances was born.

It was 12th August 2001 , a young Mishti was born  ,

Today , many years later, i see how blessed that day was.

During that time, I had no idea how lucky i was to have a younger sibling such as Mishti …

She has proven to be a delightful baby,  a bubbly toddler, a cute infant,  a hardworking student,  an obedient daughter  , a wonderful human being and most importantly, a caring and amazing sibling , whom i would cherish as long as i shall live .

She means very much to me… and i would say apart from my parents, i love her most ….

Today is her 14th Birthday, and i thank the creator for a wonderful Sister and my most cherished gift in this world ….

A zillion thanks to The Creator …..
